What is the FONO app?
FONO is an audio and video calling app where hosts earn beans through calls and gifts. Agencies recruit and support streamers, earning a 10% commission based on their team's earnings under both regional policies.
Hosts can choose Audio Only or Audio & Video. Public profile photos are not required under the policy documents, while identity verification requirements differ by region.

Your rate and call flow depend on performance and Streamer Score. These are policy rate ranges, not a fixed daily or monthly income.
How FONO agency commission works
Both regional policies state a flat 10% commission on streamer earnings. For example, a team earning 1,000,000 beans produces a calculated commission of 100,000 beans at that rate.
This is an illustration of the formula. Your actual commission depends on your streamers' earnings and the amount credited to your account.

FONO app questions
Can I join FONO for audio calls only?
Yes. The onboarding material shows an Audio Only option as well as Audio & Video.
What is the difference between a FONO host and an agency?
A host earns beans from calls and gifts. An agency recruits and supports hosts and earns commission based on streamer earnings.
Do I need a profile picture?
Neither regional policy requires a public profile picture. Identity verification still applies: PAN for Indian onboarding and National ID for international onboarding.
How much can I earn on FONO?
Earnings depend on your call rate, paid call duration, call availability and gifts. The policies list rates and bean conversions but do not guarantee a monthly salary.

Is there one policy for every country?
No. India and international applicants have separate policies. Confirm country eligibility and which policy applies to your account before joining.
